Since the mid '90s, Monday at Cozy's has been THE jam night in LA and a constant fountain of emerging talent. Every so often it’s blessed with a surprise celebrity workout.
It’s really two shows. First up: A full set by our truly great house band, led by blues giant Sugar Ray. Immediately afterward, jammers come up on a first-come basis, to be teamed with other players usually for two songs.
From that point on, it’s a night of musical possibilities with the house band members always on hand to insure that an "A” level rhythm section is standing by, in case of emergency. Sometimes brilliant. Always full of surprises. Never boring.
