Music and life go hand-in-hand for these soulful singers who have been performing since their childhood days. The idea for this family band came to life after Joseph Jackson found a broken string on his guitar. Realising that this was the result of his son secretly playing the instrument whilst he was working, Joseph saw the potential for a band to be formed. This marked the birth of the Jackson 5 and an era of incredible pop. 1969 saw their debut major label release on Motown Records, 'I Want You Back' which immediately propelled the group to the top of the charts. Their brand of "bubblegum soul" saw them become the first group to score 4 consecutive Number One hits.
The 1980s saw a lull in popularity whilst former member Michael focused on his impressive solo career. The singer's unfortunate death in 2009 united the brothers once again, resulting in a reality TV show documenting their attempts to bring the band back together. It seems that the show worked as in 2012 the quartet embarked on their Unity Tour, bringing soulful pop and sparkly outfits back to arenas across the world.
